Simon Roberts' third monograph is a comprehensive photographic record of Britain’s remaining pleasure piers, in homage to these monuments of Victorian engineering and eccentricity. Presented as a landscape format book, all 58 surviving piers are featured along with a handful of lost piers and seascapes; photographs marking where a pier once stood. Again collaborating with FUEL Design, the book contains an essay by photography critic Francis Hodgson and an appendix containing a potted history of each pier.
