The three-plate colour etching with chine colle was printed in 2003 with Pete Kosowicz of Thumbprint Editions. The title Rodrigo B. (Dusk) is inspired by Rodrigo Borgia, a scheming nobleman who became Pope Alexander VI in 1492. Part of the same series is the etching Lucrezia B., a complementary portrait inspired by Rodrigo’s daughter Lucrezia Borgia, subject to the reckless political plots of her family and said to have led a life of legendary debauchery.
