Tom Hammick - Artist Residency at Aldeburgh Festival

As artist-in-residence during 2018's Aldeburgh Festival, Tom Hammick will present the full suite of 17 woodcut prints from the series Lunar Voyage. A fictional odyssey, conjuring a metaphorical escape from earth in pursuit of freedom and isolation on another planet.

Winner of the V&A Prize at the 2016 International Print Biennale, Tom Hammick will be in residence in the Tack Room, developing new work in response to the 71st Aldeburgh Festival. In the Garage Gallery, his studio assistants will provide a behind-the- scenes look at the printmaking process.

On Saturday 23 June, 5pm, Tom Hammick and fellow festival artist Kate MccGwire will discuss their work and method at Peter Pears Gallery.
