Patrick Hughes is included in the major group exhibition Visual Deception II: Into the Future, touring three museums across Japan. This sequel to the acclaimed 2009 show will focus on the evolution of illusion techniques in modern and contemporary art in a variety of media. The exhibition is divided into categories "trompe-l'oeil," "shadows," "op illusions," "anamorphosis" and "metamorphosis". Further artists include Giuseppe Archimboldo, Chuck Close, Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher, Anish Kapoor, Rene Magritte, Daniel Rozin and Victor Vasarely.
