"english artist jane edden has created a series of miniature jackets fabricated from plumage that investigate our attitudes towards nature and
the intention behind our consumption of natural materials. each sculpture is assembled from hundreds of tiny feathers to build a collection that
explores an intersection between avian and human. edden informs her work based on the role of the feather in human adornment evident in tribal,
sacred, ritual, military and fashion setting - displaying the pieces using the method traditional to the way animals are collected,
classified and catalogued with scientific systems and nomenclature. the artwork is on show through to the 26th of january, 2013 at flowers gallery
in london."
