Cedric Christie participates in group show 'What Marcel Duchamp Taught Me'
Marking the centenary of Duchamp's readymade, The Fine Art Society is presenting a major group exhibition, the largest in the history of the gallery, taking over the entire five floors of the Bond Street townhouse. Over 50 Contemporary artists, including Flowers Gallery artist Cedric Christie, will respond to Duchamp and his legacy.
The concept of the readymade challenged the very notion of art itself. The artist's legacy is a subject continually discussed by art historians and critics, and the Fine Art Society has asked artists to respond to this directly and personally.
The exhibition will take place 10 October - 5 November, 2014 at The Fine Art Society Contemporary.
