Patrick Hughes takes part in charity project for The Art Room at Selfridges
The Art Room and Columbia Threadneedle Foundation have partnered up with Selfridges to launch an exciting creative charity project Re-Work It: a specially commissioned installation of chairs curated by Fair & Co. Chairs transformed by artists, designers and architects will be showcased in the main atrium of Selfridges for six weeks. The display will be added to every day until 90 transformations of the Ernest Race BA2 chair are hanging from the ceiling. The organisation will also host a pop-up Art Room in the Ultralounge and transform a window on Duke Street co-curated by Art Room students. Patrick Hughes is among the artists who has created a bespoke chair for the display, which will be auctioned to raise funds for The Art Room. Buyers can place bids online via Paddle8 from 22nd May, which will culminate in a live auction at Selfridges on 9th June.
