Aleah Chapin wins Willard L. Metcalf Award
We are delighted to announce that Aleah Chapin has won the Willard L. Metcalf Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
In 1986, the Academy received a bequest from Addison M. Metcalf, son of the late member Willard L. Metcalf (1858 - 1925), for an award to honor young artists of great promise. The Willard L. Metcalf Award in Art is a biennial prize of $10,000, and will be presented to Aleah on May 18th at the Academy's annual ceremonial. All winners of the institution's 2016 awards will showcase their work in a special exhibition May 18th - June 12th at the Academy.
