Carol Robertson
Curated by Bodo Korsig, this exhibition explores the diverse aspects of transition and the emotional, cultural and social impacts associated with it. Lost in Transition is not only an exhibition but is an event that provokes the visitors to remember that while transition can sometimes be challenging, it is also a source of personal development, growth, and transformation.
"My reference is the transition between music and the chromatic nature of sound in relation to colour. These two paintings are dedicated to birds and birdsong, visualised through the metaphor of madrigals. Of course paintings are silent, mute, unable to sing… I hope their colour sings instead, in daytime and at night. The circles are separated into dark and light colours, much like voices might be divided into chromatic harmonies between bass and soprano." - Carol Robertson
