Nathan Cohen (b 1962) is a British artist exploring intersections between art, science and well-being, including new technologies, psychology and engineering.
'Crossings (Polychrome)' and 'Refolding Form' define their own boundaries in space, the coloured shapes of each composition combining to create contrasting interlocking self-supporting structures. In one, layers of crosses combine to create the illusion of depth while in the other the adjoining surfaces undulate spatially. In each, colour forms an integral part of the pictorial construction, playing with our perceptions.
