Both oil paintings are named after the plants that live along the shoreline and the estuaries- 'Beet' and 'Sea Blite'. They are painted using a limited palette of blues and greens which reflects the natural world. They are empty spaces devoid of human life.
Adam Taylor is a British contemporary artist. His paintings are abstract, minimalist compositions depicting dreamlike worlds. Working predominantly in oils and using a limited palette, he often plays with the use of grids to divide his work and create discord. He trained and obtained his degree in Fine Art in 2004 at Cardiff School of Art.
