What are you looking at? marks the introduction of digital means of production within Keane's printmaking practice. The inclusion of digital manipulation and inkjet printing brings a crisp contrast with the use of ink dragged across the paper with squeegees. This work is part of a series created for Greenpeace International’s campaign against the illegal logging trade in the Amazon region of Brazil. With this work, Keane compares the symmetries presented both in the extraordinary vistas of forest reflected in water and that of the pattern on the wings of a particular tropical butterfly, the Caligo.
