Unseen
Overview
Unseen is an international photography fair focused on undiscovered photography talent and unseen work by established photographers. This year Flowers will exhibit Jason Larkin's award winning Tales from the City of Gold alongside new works by Lorenzo Vitturi and Tom Lovelace.
For the 2014 edition Unseen has commissioned a campaign by emerging photography talent, Lorenzo Vitturi (1980, Venice). The campaign is the result of a prolific collaboration between an award-winning photographer, whose work intersects the disciplines of photography, sculpture and performance, and Unseen, a fair and festival embracing new photography. The campaign of Unseen 2014 is more than the traditional single image, visualising the various stages of Lorenzo Vitturi's work process. Using the symbol of the eye to demonstrate the Unseen concept, Vitturi arranged found materials and organic produce into a sculpture, repeating a simple geometric pattern in different scales. The resulting photographs document the different stages of the sculpture's construction. The process will be completed at Unseen 2014 when Vitturi translates the original sculpture into a large-scale installation on the festival grounds.
