Collages by Liza Giles

Overview

Coinciding with The Shape of Things, an exhibition of abstract paintings by British artist Liza Giles, this presentation showcases a series of small-scale collages.

When developing her monumental canvases, Giles begins by creating these maquettes, moving found scraps and painted cut-outs around the page, transforming the interplay of positive and negative forms. "I'm trying to disconnect from any thought process and simply feel a composition emerge," she says.

Prices are inclusive of framing. Shipping and vat will be calculated at the point of purchase.

"I live in Central London and thrive on its energy, progression and momentum. Its urban form, architectural landscapes, graphics and graffiti. The scale of a city skyline and the sense of space and light around it. There are also strong influences from my textile background, where you can see geometry and pattern coming through in the work."
