Lucy Jones 'Awkward Beauty': A Conversation

LONDON Cork Street
27 June, 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Flowers Gallery and Elephant invite you to celebrate the release of Awkward Beauty; the first publication to draw together both the portraits and landscape paintings produced by artist Lucy Jones over the past 15 years.

Join us for an evening of conversation with Lucy Jones and Elephant magazine editor, Emily Steer who will discuss Jones's career as a painter and the presentation of Landscape and Inscape, an exhibition of Jones’s new landscape and portrait paintings on view at Flowers Gallery Cork Street until 6 July.

Elephant is a London-based print and digital magazine whose ethos is “Life Through Art”. Emily Steer has previously written about art and lifestyle for titles including the Telegraph, Time Out, Munchies, i-D, Aesthetica and Grazia.

Contributing authors Charlotte Jansen, Tom Shakespeare and Philip Vann will also read excerpts from the book and will join the Q&A to discuss some of the works on show.

Elephant has published Awkward Beauty: The Art of Lucy Jones in collaboration with Flowers Gallery.
